White Tea 壽眉白茶

This white tea comes from Fuding, Fujian, the birthplace of China’s finest white teas. Unlike Silver Needle and White Peony, Shou Mei is harvested later in the season, from late spring to early summer, using more mature buds with three to four leaves. This later harvest gives the tea a richer body, deeper flavor, and excellent endurance through multiple infusions.
The name Shou Mei, meaning “Longevity Eyebrow,” comes from the tea’s naturally curled leaves and fine white buds, which resemble the long white eyebrows traditionally associated with longevity, good health, and good fortune in Chinese culture.
When brewed, Shou Mei offers fresh herbal notes with a gentle wildflower aroma. The liquor is bright, light amber in color, naturally sweet, smooth, and full of character, with a long, refreshing finish. As the tea ages, it becomes even smoother and more rounded, making it a favorite for both everyday drinking and long-term aging.
