Made from premium zhu ni clay, the teapot has a gourd-shaped body with a graceful proportion that is narrow at the top and wider at the bottom. Its orange-red color is delicate and even, and it becomes more lustrous after long-term use and patina develops. The gourd sounds like ‘fu lu’ in Chinese, meaning blessings and prosperity.
It is suitable for brewing oolong teas such as Taiwanese High mountain oolong, Tieguanyin and Wuyi rock tea, and can effectively enhance the tea’s aroma.
